Better feed.
Clearer calculations.
Choose your animal and production stage, enter your nutrient targets and local ingredients, and calculate the lowest-cost blend that meets your stated constraints.
Create a least-cost feed formula
Follow the four steps below. All nutrient targets and ingredient analyses must come from sources appropriate to your animal and production stage.
Your animals & feed batch
Currency is a label only; there is no foreign exchange conversion. Breed, age, weight and production details are recorded for review but DO NOT automatically adjust numeric requirements. Changing the stage clears current nutrient and ingredient inputs. Eleven animal groups (cattle, buffalo, sheep, goats, chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, quail, fish and pigs). Targets start blank, except where a user elects to copy three explicitly labeled historical poultry-reference preview values. The stage fields are not complete feeding specifications.
Nutrient requirements
All cells start blank: no invented requirements. Nutrient field selection is a modeling scaffold, not proof of a complete or safe diet. Min/max and dry-matter/as-fed basis are editable. Values must come from your qualified nutritionist, not from the sample pilot.
| Nutrient | Direction | Target | Basis |
|---|
Ingredients, laboratory values & local prices
Report verified or suitably derived ingredient nutrient figures on the dry-matter basis; moisture as % of as-fed ingredient; quote prices on selected purchase unit. Enter evidence and rights proof for each row. Unknown nutrient measurements must not be entered as zero.
CSV columns must match the selected stage. Import replaces the current ingredient rows. Missing nutrient values are never filled with zero. Use rights/analysis references for every ingredient; do not upload copyrighted reference tables without permission.

Advanced scientific toolsLaboratory import, reference grids, scientific review and additional nutrient models
Import laboratory analysis
Use a long-format lab CSV with one row per ingredient × analyte. Report dry_matter first as percent of as-fed mass, then other analytes with their explicit basis (% / g/kg / mg/kg, or MJ/kg / kcal/kg for energy). Each row needs a sample date, lab/method, evidence ID and use-rights category. Conversions are checked and original values are retained in the editable JSON record. No published database values are bundled.
A laboratory import replaces the ingredient table and never fills unreported nutrients with zero. You must still supply your own local prices and inclusion bounds.
Scientific and safety checklist
Each ingredient has a new hazard/suitability screening field and document identifier in its table row. Mark a pass only if you have supporting test results and local species-specific checks. This preflight identifies known gaps but does not certify animal nutrition or regulatory compliance. Calculations remain usable while feeding/manufacturing release stays separate.
Reference-based nutrient target estimator
Reference grids contain no bundled numerical anchors. Generate nutrient targets by interpolating documented, species/stage-specific reference points. Enter measurements for the animal, import a licensed reference grid, or create/edit your own. This interpolator never extrapolates beyond measured reference anchors; it does not predict feed intake or replace independent nutritional review.
The stage template represents only eight selected constraints. Interpolated concentrations are not a complete diet requirement model; true adequacy also needs intake, micronutrients, digestibility, hazards, regulations and independent review. Claims entered in a local browser are not verified authentication.
Historical poultry reference preview
Try selected values from a 2020 USDA NRCS poultry technical note, itself based on older NRC 1994 recommendations. The historical reference is included to demonstrate transparent sourcing, conversion and gap analysis, not as a modern commercial diet prescription. Commercial rights for the underlying adapted NRC data have not been cleared.
Only broiler starter/grower/finisher and laying-hen historical examples are preloaded. All other animal/stage requirements remain blank rather than inheriting unrelated species numbers. Missing energy, digestible amino acids, micronutrients and real feed-safety checks must be addressed by a qualified professional. Source values apply to a 90% DM diet and are converted to a DM basis before comparison.
Nutrient profile review records
Create an editable review dossier for each animal and stage. Audit the eight nutrient targets for exact stage match, units, documentary rights, reviewer claims, and outstanding feed-safety checks. This is not a professional review or approval service: no credentials, signatures, permissions or completeness are authenticated here.
Additional scientific and release-evidence checks
A completed audit means only that the entered evidence fields pass structural checks. The 8 selected constraints are not a complete nutrient, safety or intake model. Data is handled locally in your browser. For regulatory use, implement server-side identity, signature, independent review, audit and licensing verification.
